It’s Time Again For The Hawaii Bridal Expo

Okay let’s face it ladies. I’m never gonna see this expo! I can’t afford to go to Hawaii to see an expo for which I’m planning a wedding so I can fly back to Hawaii for my actual wedding. Can I? Not gonna happen.

I’ve Been Bad

So I’m realizing that I’ve started this blog, promised to bring lots of goodies to all of you and then disappeared. Great. I’ve turned into every other wannabe bride blogger. But I’m working on making a comeback!

So what have I been doing for the last six months (OMG I can’t believe it’s been that long)?

• Schooling (pronounced partying)
• Working
• Trying to tie down the date
• Traveling (not the fun kind, just back and forth from school)
• Dealing with bratty nieces, you know who you are
• Surviving the holidays
• Wishing I were in New York on New Years Eve
• Dreaming about my Hawaiian wedding

I’m hoping to post more frequently so wish me luck.

First pick for my wedding venue

I keep looking at all the venues in Hawaii because I want to find the perfect place. But it’s so hard to tell what’s the perfect place. I found the Kahala Resort and it seems like it would be so elegant.

The Royal Hawaiian is nice too, but it seems like just another huge room that lacks a personal touch.

Wow. Turtle Bay has a cool place to get married where your guests can see the ocean behind you while you get married. My only concern is the noise of the ocean. Maybe it won’t be a problem.

The cutest place card holders for a beach wedding

Trying to bring together the whole beach wedding thing, I found these place card holders tonight and they’re so cute.

Since I’m not in need of a lot of them this is a cheap way to add the “beach” into my wedding. I love them. Ordered.

Trying to find a beach in Hawaii

I’m thinking we should get married on the beach cause it would be so romantic but I’m worried about the noise. Some beaches are better than others for noise but then they don’ t have the waves crashing.

I don’t know. Since we’re planning to have a smallish wedding I’m thinking it would be fun to do the beach wedding thing. Any ideas?

I found this website and this minister looks pretty qualified. Once I have my date, I’ll see if she’s available.

Wow. Brides Club Got A New Website

I got up this morning to find that Brides Club has re-designed it’s website. Check it out.

I really like the question and answer section. I can see how that’s going to be helpful as I go through all this.

The photos are really good too. I like looking through the photos almost more than planning. It’s easy to get lost in them.

Not the Wedding Dress But Cute Just the Same

So I was reading through some posts, and I found this new blog at Blogger called Bridal Crackers. She is so cute. I’ve only read like 2 posts but I’m subscribed.

It’s not the wedding dress, but I had to share this anyway.

I just hate when my credit card jumps out and orders cute stuff on it’s own — at least that’s what I tell him.

Seeking the Photographer

So I did a search for hawaii wedding photographers and so many different sites came up. But I don’t know any of these people. I’m hoping to find something that appeals to me but it’s hard to know the personality of someone through their website.

I was looking at the portfolios to try to see if I could find someone who had a good artistic touch but also checked with the prices to see if it fit my budget.

But I’m gonna keep looking just to be sure I find the right one. I’ve also look at wedding photographers in Hawaii on several wedding planner sites but there’s so many to consider I can hardly pick one.

This blog is all about Hawaii weddings, mine and others as I plan mine. I’m hoping that there’s enough information for me to post interesting stuff here for you. I’m new to all this wedding stuff and I’m very excited to be getting married.
